We’ve been offering Healthy Options Yoga, Pilates and fitness holidays in Greece since 2007. Since then, we’ve continued to design our holiday offerings based on what works really well judged by the comments from our guests. We think it’s vital to welcome feedback and really listen to it, because that’s how we create the perfect experience.
We are not a Yoga retreat, we are a Yoga holiday. Our mission is simple: we want to give you the best holiday you’ve ever had. Our range of fun and invigorating classes and activities is designed to inspire and help you attain a healthier and fitter lifestyle.
Our staff of dedicated professionals are friendly, approachable and easy to talk to. Openness and friendliness are what we offer, which is easy for us, because we love what we do! From the moment you arrive, you’ll feel comfortable, make new friends (if you want to!) and socialise with like-minded guests from all over Europe.
Healthy Options started in Greece as something nice to do for partners and friends of those coming on a Wildwind sailing holiday at our base in Vassilliki. However, our concept of “a Yoga holiday that truly is a holiday” really struck a chord and quickly became a whole new holiday experience in its own right. Vassilliki turned out to provide the perfect atmosphere for a relaxed Yoga and Pilates holiday and we were soon offering a wide variety of classes and many extra activities that have since made Healthy Options an experience like no other.
Because our Vassiliki centre became so popular, it was regularly booked solid. We did not want to increase the number of guests, as we felt that this would take away the unique community feel. Instead, we found a perfect location for a second centre in nearby Syvota, a tranquil gem of a fishing village on the Greek mainland not far from Vassiliki. While the overall concept of Healthy Options is the same in both locations, our Syvota experience is a little more tranquil and guests are staying at the beautifully-appointed Mega Ammos hotel.
We are a small, independent company. We believe this really makes for a different holiday experience that is vastly superior to what is offered by the big holiday corporates.
Our relaxed and informal approach is why our guests return to us year after year. The warm, social atmosphere gives our holidays a unique, friendly flavour and will surely be one of the things you will remember most when you look back at your summer holiday.
There are two main ideas that make Healthy Options a concept like no other.
We have a variety of classes aimed at beginners, as well as intermediate and advanced students. But we are not a Yoga retreat: we don’t expect you to get up early and really work on your health. We believe that a holiday should always be a holiday. Our goal is to for you to return home completely renewed, invigorated and in balance. You will never, ever be pressured to participate; rather, we encourage you to do as much or as little as you like. Nobody knows you better than you do.
Secondly, you’ll get the chance to try something new on your holiday because we’ve also included a varied mix of different activities We believe variety really is the spice of life!
You worked hard all year, so we want to make sure that we offer you a holiday that’s not only relaxing, renewing and invigorating, but one that also offers you excellent value. Almost everything is included in your package, starting at one low price of kr5400: accommodation, all the Yoga, Pilates and fitness classes on offer, the watersports tasters, scenic walking, cycling excursions and a free massage. There’s no hidden charges or unpleasant surprises so you can use your holiday for what is it for: to relax and recharge yourself.
We priced our holidays to allow you a choice to decide when, where and what to eat, whether that’s in our on-site restaurants and bars or in the many great tavernas and bars in the village, which is why meals aren’t included in your holiday price. The exception here is breakfast in the hotel in our Syvota location, which is included.
Ok, so nothing can actually turn back the hands of time, but our holidays can definitely have a rejuvenating effect on your body and mind. The combination of mindfulness, exercise, the Greek diet and the benefits...Read on
