There is an amazing range of activities included for all our guests. This gives you a chance to try something new, improve your fitness and get to know the beautiful countryside.
While there’s a huge range of classes and activities on offer, please don’t feel that you have to try everything. We want you to go home fully relaxed and completely recalibrated. If what you really want to do is lie on the beach in the sunshine for a while, swim in the glorious blue sea or relax by the pool with a glass of wine or two, then we’d encourage you to do exactly that!
Stand-up paddle-boarding is best enjoyed early in the morning, when the water is as flat as a mill pond and the sun soaks your skin with just the right amount of warmth. Paddle-boarding is great fun and an exhilarating way to keep fit while you enjoy an entirely different perspective of the world from the water. Initially accompanied by an expert instructor, you’ll have a great time while you are perfectly safe in our warm, tranquil waters. Feel free to also take a board out at any other time!
Stand-up paddle-boarding is available in both Vassiliki and Syvota. Use of the boards is 'unlimited' although practically conditions on the water, particularly in Vassiliki, will be a determining factor as to when they can be used.
We have some great rides lined up for you. You’re always welcome to join our free organised group rides or take a bike out by yourself and enjoy the freedom to roam around to your heart’s content.
Bike rental is free in both Vassiliki and Syvota.
Our unique Herbal Walk is perfect for foodies and anyone interested in natural remedies, many of our guests have found this an unforgettable experience. The fascinating and informative stroll into the olive groves is a great way to discover Lefkas’ impressive landscape and abundant flora. The gentle walk of approximately 3km is accompanied by an insightful talk by our friend Aris Kokotsis, who has over 20 years phytotherapy experience. He’ll show you a variety of herbs and plants and how you can use them for cooking and healing. Aris laces his talk with a healthy dose of fascinating anecdotes from Greek mythology. Botany and culture in one trip!
Our boat trip to the beautiful Agio Fili beach follows the undulating coastline from Vassiliki village along the east side of the bay. When you arrive at the turquoise waters of Agio Fili beach, you’ll be led in a short meditation in this most tranquil of surroundings. Afterwards, swim in the crystal blue waters and lie back on the beach, sunbathing in this enchanted place. You’ve a choice of hopping on the local ferry boat or you can return with our local dive centre boat, stopping en-route for a snorkel at one of the best sites in the bay. If you’re lucky, you’ll spot some dolphins and flying fish!
The herbal walk and Agio Fili trip are both available in Vassiliki. Not to be outdone, in Syvota we offer walks along the coastline, where you’ll discover a series of amazing secluded coves and beaches.
Healthy Options holidays in Vassiliki are on the doorstep of the best dinghy and catamaran sailing holiday centre in Europe. A 45-minute sailing taster session on a catamaran is included in your holiday as a great way to try this exciting sport for the first time. You’ll sail around the bay in the safe morning conditions with a qualified instructor who can teach you the basics, or you can simply sit back and enjoy the ride and views of the bay from another perspective.
The sailing taster session is available in Vassiliki only.
Leaving after breakfast, we’ll drive some 45 minutes to the famous Acheron gorge and springs. According to Greek mythology, this was the exact spot where Achilles was bathed by his mother Thetis to gain his superhero powers (and where the term Achilles’ heel was coined). Here we’ll walk through a shady, cool forest until we get to the springs. We’ll try to gain our own superpowers by walking through the middle of the river right up to the spectacular gorge itself. Sometimes the water is only ankle deep; sometimes you’ll be wading waist deep. If you want, we’ll supply a wetsuit. The water might be a bit nippy, even in the height of summer!
Out of the gorge you’ll again get to try something new – rafting down the river! Led by an experienced guide, you’ll ride downstream on a rigid inflatable boat and then return upstream by… minibus. (Ok, that last bit might not be adventurous, but it’s practical!)
Rafting and the Acheron springs trip is exclusively available in Syvota.
We’ve included a wonderful boat ride around the small outlying islands surrounding Syvota. Starting with a walk to the harbour, we’ll take you by boat around these inshore islands, stopping at various secluded beaches for swimming, snorkelling and lazing in the sun. This is a typically Greek excursion with a charismatic boat captain and ‘Zorba the Greek’ playing in the background!
The Round-the-islands tour is exclusively available in Syvota.
There’s nothing more rewarding and grounding than a massage to soothe tired muscles and so we’ve included a half hour massage in your holiday. If you want to pamper your muscles some more, it is perfectly possible to extend your massage or book additional sessions during the week, though extra local charges would apply. We have a range of massage styles on offer.
Massages are available in both Vassiliki and Syvota.
If that wasn’t enough yet, there are plenty of other activities available in and around Vassiliki and Syvota and we’d be delighted to organise these for you, just speak to a company representative in resort to learn more! Local charges apply
There are local boat trips from Vassiliki harbour that also go around the coastline to beaches such as Agio Fili and on the western coastline to Porto Katsiki. From Syvota you can take trips to the nearby islands of Corfu, Paxos and Antipaxos.
Vassiliki has some of the best wind and water conditions for you to try windsurfing either for the first time or to brush up on your skills if it’s been a while! If you’ve never tried this amazing sport before but would like to give it a go, we offer windsurfing lessons (at a local charge) for beginners, on lightweight user-friendly equipment in small groups. Our expert qualified instructor Amy will spend two hours on the water with you making sure you have a great time and leaving feeling like you’ve learnt some new skills and perhaps with a new passion!
Windsurfing is possible only in Vassiliki.
