These are the Yoga instructors that will be teaching your Yoga classes in 2023. Each and every one of them is highly skilled and experienced, but just as important: they are always friendly and approachable.
Manager & Yoga Teacher - Vassiliki
Alex is an RYT600 qualified Yoga Instructor, Reflexologist & Reiki Practitioner.
Following successful careers as a Dancer and then as a TV Executive, she finished her first Yoga Teacher Training in Athens and went on to expand her studies in India, now collating 100s of hours of international teaching experience, including leading on Teacher Training Courses.
Her specialities are Hatha, Ashtanga, Vinyasa Flow and Yin. She also enjoys holding Nidra, Restorative, Meditation, Pranayama and Relaxation classes and inspiring others to improve wellness and commit to long term health goals. She is an avid SUP Yoga instructor.
Alex previously went on a Healthy Options holiday as a guest in 2015 and enjoyed it so much she set herself the goal to work for us one day. 2023 will be her 7th season with us and she couldn’t be happier to continue her journey with us as the Manager of Healthy Options, now living the majority of the year in Vassiliki!
Alex’s teaching style is fun and naturally flowing. She combines her knowledge of anatomy and the breath to create a safe space to practice in and give her students the opportunity to explore the mental and the physical aspects of Yoga.
“I enjoy creating a balance of calmness and power when I teach and I allow my dance background to influence my classes in part. I want my students to leave feeling energised and happy!”
Alex’s sessions include emphasis on breath, energy, flow, anatomy, alignment and relaxation; postures which will invigorate the physical and mental being, leaving you with a general sense of change, growth and wellness.
Yoga Teacher - Vassiliki
Yoga came into my life when I needed it the most and it has now given me a whole new quality of physical and mental well-being. I caught my passion and love for teaching on my spiritual journey while living in Costa Rica and got certified at the magical lake of Atitlan in Guatemala.
Yoga has helped me to grow, heal and connect to myself on a deeper level of self-love and understanding and I feel priviledged to be able to share this knowledge as an instructor.
As if it was meant to be, I ended up in Vassiliki with the opportunity to teach at Healthy Options for the whole summer of 2022 and during this time I was able to connect to so many wonderful people who made my experience there so incredible. The beautiful bay of Vassiliki now feels like home and I am so excited to be back for the whole of season 2023!
My classes and workshops are a creative mix which include pranayama, mindfulness, spirituality, alignment and fun, free movement exercises to allow everyone to intuitively connect to their unique body and mind. My specialties are Yin & Yang, Hatha and Vinyasa. I also enjoy guiding more restorative classes to balance the flow with stillness.
My goal as a teacher is to help my students connect with their body and soul on a deeper energetic level, to pass on the practice of mindfulness and to have everyone leave their class feeling happy, liberated and empowered.
Pilates/Fitness Teacher - Vassiliki
Leah joins us this year in Vassiliki after attending Healthy Options, first as a client and then doing some sessions as a guest instructor. The amazing vibe she creates in her classes, plus the fabulous feedback, meant we couldn’t resist having her on the team with us in 2023!
With an early background of drama and performance, Leah moved into Fitness Training with an emphasis on the connection between the emotional and the physical. After a personal injury, she found her route to holistic wellbeing through pilates-based physical therapy, resulting in her deciding to train in this discipline as well.
Leah’s classes are very focussed on how to benefit both the mind and body. She embraces an ethos of inclusivity, aiming to make health and fitness as accessible as possible, tailored to each personal circumstance.
We hope you have got fond memories of your holiday (or for the really lucky: holidays!) out with us in Vassiliki. All the team at Wildwind – in Greece, Mauritius and our office staff -...
